A friend and I went to the Country Living Fair today. While there weren't any farm animals, there were plenty of artisans and vendors in beautifully dressed tents selling their wares to all of us kindred country spirits. I brought home some treasures to be cherished for years to come, but I especially love this beautiful framed Scherenschnitte (German paper cutting) of little lambs looking up to their Good Shepherd.
When I got home from my day at the Fair, I returned a phone call to a friend. She is weary from life and in need of encouragement. I let her talk and then we both, figuratively, tipped our heads upwards as I prayed to our Shepherd on her behalf. Peace, Love, Hope, Rest.

Are we not like the sheep who, moving about valleys often lose sight of their Shepherd?
Look up little lambs. He is there.
Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
