Climbing Companion

When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, He climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to Him, the committed, climbed with Him. Arriving at a quiet place, He sat down and taught His climbing companions. Matthew 5:1-4

Lord, so often I choose to sit down on the trail and watch you go on ahead. Help me to climb. Amen

Isn't it funny, how so many times we can't even find our hiking shoes to go on the journey with HIM? I liked that when I was reading your blog Be Thou my Vision was playing ~ that is one of my absolute favorites and we got to sing that this morning in BSF. Find your hiking shoes and stay strong!

Isn't that great that in order to go hiking, HE gives us the opportunity to fill our needs, shopping for CUTE hiking shoes, hymns on the ipod etc. He is waiting for you to come with HIM, all the way to ALASKA!!! Better get some GOOD shoes girl!!! The ipod, I can help you with if you want! :) By the way, you are right Charley, has a way to go, and is a funny funny animal!

He is always waiting for me it seems like. I just can't seem to get it together for more than an 'around the block' sort of hike.

Awesome, awesome, awesome post. Thank you, its just what I needed today.
