honor(ing)
I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did. ~Benjamin Harrison

Gorgeous post, Cathy. I couldn't agree more. And I do so love that photo!!
My flag is also flying high, so that all may see. For some it is a sad day, but for most of us it should be a day of Thanksgiving. Let the BBQ's fire up, as I can't think of a better way to start summer ~ or end spring. Happy Weekend friend
